Two close games and two not-so-close games marked the quarterfinals of the DIAA Girls Basketball Tournament on Monday night.

In Glasgow, Caravel held on to win a 42-41 nail-biter over Usuline. In Greenwood, Woodbridge and Delmarva Christian exchanged the lead several times before the Blue Raiders edged away in the fourth quarter for a 70-64 win.

The two dominant performances came from St. Elizabeth, which downed Mount Pleasant 67-34; and Sanford, which eliminated Archmere 64-25.

India Johnston, shown here earlier this season, scored 22 points Monday night to lead Caravel past Ursuline 42-41 in the quarterfinals of the DIAA Girls Basketball Tournament.

Wednesday’s semifinals will be played on the home courts of the higher-seeded. So fourth-seeded Caravel will travel to No. 1 St. Elizabeth, and 10th-seeded Woodbridge will make the trip from Sussex County to play at No. 3 Sanford.

Both games will tip off at 6:30 p.m.
